She finished her primary and secondary education at the posh Assumption Convent in Herran St., Manila. Her younger brother, Alvin Anson (born October 20, 1962; Manila) was also a lead actor and model. Anson-Roa was married to Pete Roa, her co-host in the series Dance-o-Rama from 1964 until his death in 2007.
