He was born on November 23, 1954 in the village of Malybai, Alma-Ata region. In 1976 he graduated from the acting faculty of the Alma-Ata Conservatory. From 1976 to 1980 — actor of the Talda-Kurgan regional drama Theater. From 1980 to 1982 — assistant director, screenwriter of the Kazakhfilm film studio. In 1986 he graduated from the Higher Courses of screenwriters and Directors (workshop of S.
